HUMAN SYSTEM

 

  •  Based on visible actions and their effects e.g. stealing, physical harm, fraud, murder…
  •  Evidence based – need some kind of witnesses, proof, crime scene, clues, DNA, ..
  • Judicial system - Prosecution and defence
  • Punishments – vary for the same crime
  •  Previous convictions?
  • Accused – able to hide intentions
  • Suicide – can prevent punishment by a court
  • External influences – power, wealth, status, colour, nationality, …..

 

 

QURANIC CONCPET

 

  •  No, man will be evidence against himself (75:14)
  •  A self will then know what it has put forth and what it kept back (82:5)

 

 

ACCOUNTABILITY OUTLINED

 

  • Man’s voluntary actions directly influence his Self
  • Dedication to a noble end results in the development of the Self
  •  Indifference to, or denial of, permanent values leads to disintegration of the Self
  • Man is responsible for his actions and must accept their consequences
  • Man cannot shift the responsibility to anyone else

  •  Good deeds replace the effects of negative deeds (11:114)
  • Past experiences will return – replace these with good thoughts (39:53-55)
  •  Promote interaction with others
  • Work on Self-concept 
  • Study the Quran and relate to Allah and the purpose of life
  • Think and analyse the human issues
